One of the best buildings on Michigan Ave is the Auditorium building at Roosevelt University. Overlooking Michigan Ave facing east is the Buckingham Fountain, and the curved windows are a great frame for sweater #23. This area is frequented by students in between classes and as a study area. The mosaics are also a great attribute to a by gone era. Designed by the infamous Adler and Sullivan architects, it once housed their design firm who also included Frank Lloyd Wright. The building opened in 1889 and like many buildings in Chicago has seen many renovations and alterations, but still possesses a tremendous eye catching beauty. I have had the privilege of teaching at Roosevelt for the past couple of years, and upon leaving one day, decided to honor this magnificent architectural icon by placing a sweater in this alcove.
