There are many public places for people to recreate in Phoenix, and one of them is along the northern canals of the city at Reach 11. This hiking site is adjacent to the National Cemetery and in the middle of an expanding suburban development. As the park is in the middle of a flood wash, there is little chance that the area will become engulfed in future feverish housing construction. Unlike other city trail heads, there are no facilities, but rather it is in the middle of a desert enclave surrounded by barb wire and cactus. By placing this sweater in it’s own confined space, it will hopefully attract a visually engaged passer-by as they head out to the trails.
