Sweater #109

Sweater #109 was placed in a local pet store in Wisconsin by Terri Minkin and was knitted by Theresa.  The great comment made about placement was in regards to how many Americans treat their pets better than their own family members.  Coincidentally, giving is usually higher for animal care programs than for the care of certain groups of humans, with the homeless being one of those groups. This picture highlights the luxury factor of pet stores and the tremendous choices available to pet owners of what to feed their beloved animal.  As we approach the traditional season of giving and food pantries around the country are appealing for the donation of canned goods, this image seems quite poignant.
