This sweater was placed in the plaza just north of the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art at a beautiful fountain seen here. The park is full of public public sculpture and pathways that lead visitors through a gorgeous lush green belt way that is wonderful to experience in such a desert location. And, while the park is reminiscent of public spaces in other urban areas, there did not seem to be any homeless folks milling around as often observed in such places as Grant Park in Chicago. I’m sure public policing prohibits such vagrancy, but it was interesting to note in comparison to other locations. It would be nice to think that there is sufficient support for street folks in need of shelter, food and counseling. But, it’s all about appearance, especially in a tourist driven economy.
