Sweater #197

This sweater was actually posted in March at the Santa Monica Pier in California inside the covering for the carousel and old fashioned ice cream stand.  While the location is not directly related to any of the issues highlighted in this blog, I did find it an ideal location to place as it serves so many people from across the country and world as a tourist destination.  The perfect sunny weather and the graceful Pacific Ocean just outside the windows makes this an ideal festive spot for such a find.  And, ironically, people were poised outside soliciting contributions for the victims of the tsunami that struck Japan only a week earlier.  So, in the end, I guess it was a great place to situate the sweater as visitors were already being reminded of those left homeless just on the other side of the ocean.
