Sweater #206

Sweater #206 was placed at the local health agency near where I live.  A lot of people who don’t have adequate health care coverage depend upon these agencies and many still go without proper medical care as discussed in prior posts.  What struck me about this placement is that 50% of the language was in Spanish and made accessible for a specific population group within the immediate area.  In trying to find a place to situate the sweater, I was completely self-conscious of my own ethnicity and what I often take for granted of having access to health care.  This project has been great for getting myself out of my own comfort zone with simple steps such as placing a sweater in an unusual out of the way location that I otherwise would not go.
