Another contribution by Patt! I want the life of this sweater–in Carmel, CA at an upscale location, hanging out in the sun, what could be better, right? As Patt comments, this Carmel location did not have many of the signs of the struggling economy with bank owned properties littering the landscape. She thinks she may have spotted one homeless person during her entire stay. And, it is exactly this location that makes this spot ideal as it reminds those who have the where with all to make a contribution as well as possibly being reminded how fortunate they are for enjoying the “finer” objects in life. Crossing these boundaries between various socio-economic groups is what makes this project successful as the sweaters can evoke a story of their own no matter where they are placed.
